Common questions

How does the free trial work?

The app is free to download and look around. The first time you open a job (Roof, Stairs, Concrete, Flooring, or Deck Builder), a 3-day free trial starts with everything unlocked. When the 3 days end, the jobs lock until you unlock Pro with one payment of $17.99 — after that it's yours forever, no subscription.

I deleted and reinstalled the app. Why didn't my trial restart?

On purpose. The trial start date is kept in your phone's secure Keychain, which survives deleting the app — that's what keeps the trial honest for everyone. A brand-new phone does start fresh.

I bought Pro. How do I get it on my new phone?

Open the app, go to the Pro screen, and tap Restore a past purchase. As long as you're signed into the same Apple ID, your unlock comes back — free, forever.

I bought a Roofish Pro card at a store. How do I use it?

Scratch the back, then follow the steps on our redeem page — under a minute, and the unlock is permanent.

Does Roofish work without internet?

Yes — completely. All the math happens on your phone. The cabin, the basement, the middle of a field: if your phone's on, Roofish works. (Buying or restoring Pro needs a connection, because Apple handles the purchase.)

Can I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Store-bought cards: bring the card and receipt back to the store, or email us and we'll help.

Is Roofish a substitute for building plans or an engineer?

No. Roofish is a fast, careful estimator for cuts and material quantities. It is not an engineered drawing, and local building code always wins. For anything structural or permitted, check with your local building department.

Android?

Not yet. Roofish is iPhone-first. If you'd buy an Android version, email us — that list decides what gets built next.
